So in my inbox this morning there was even more validation about what Etelos provides from yet the same small company I wrote about a couple weeks ago.
Ballmer Speaks out on Making an Application Store That Works
"At an Australian developer event late last week, Steve Ballmer decided to let loose a few thoughts on Microsoft's plan to soon launch a service to allow developers to reach consumers directly with their code. He wasn't ready to talk about it at the recent Professional Developers Conference, Ballmer said, along with all the other OS and cloud announcements, but the project is in the works, reports Computerworld."
Probably the funniest thing about this post for me is one of the comments he apparently made had to do with making the App store "work" also mentioned in the headline of this post.
Let's keep this one simple
Instead of writing too much about all the different thoughts that are running through my brain on this one, let's keep it simple. I see it as validation that Etelos is ahead of the game and has a tremendous opportunity to help technologies move their Apps to the web for distribution. Afterall, that's what the Etelos platform is all about.
Take your app and move it to the cloud... that's Etelos.
For the rest of my thoughts on this, check out my post when Microsoft showed up to the cloud computing party a couple weeks ago, 'Welcome to the Neighborhood Microsoft.'
More later.
